POTD

If I was doing the "picture of the day" thing everyone else is doing this would be my picture of the day. I'm not feeling well so this is my world:

- my feet up
- cozy blanket
- cozy candle (which I currently can't smell)
- phone and tv remotes close by
- Puffs Plus with Vicks (which I can't smell either)
- receptacle for Puffs Plus
- steaming cup of Want More Energy
- laptop
- note pad of "to do's" when I feel better
- watching DVRed episodes of Giuliana & Bill

What To Do When You're Sick

Since I'm home today and not feeling well I decided to catch up on some ironing...my cloth napkins. It was totally gratifying to see them in ironed stacks and to place them in the drawer where they belong.

My cold is getting worse. I have lost my sense of taste and smell...and the hearing in my left ear. That's a creepy sensation.

I am really annoyed that I can't even smell the Vicks in my new Puffs Puffs today. Cruel!

Puffs Plus Vicks!

I'm getting the family cold back and my nose is getting raw so decided to shop for some Puffs Plus while Taryn was at Doxa.

Did you know they now make Puffs Plus with Vicks? I LOVE Vicks. What a great idea! I opened the box in the store and walked around sniffing Vicks.

And after youth group Taryn & I watched tv sniffing Vicks. I love Vicks!

Dinner is Served

Got these pictures off Cindy's Facebook. This is the table all set for our dinner.

And my chicken pasta dish.

My Amazing Orange Roses

We hosted a dinner over here tonite with Paul & Chris, and Jack & Cindy. Our theme was Italian and I found this amazing bouquet of orange roses. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying these roses!

I was a bit concerned about my chicken pasta dish - the sauce is always the wild card. But it turned out great and we had such a fun evening! I will need to get some of the pictures Cindy took at the table. I was too busy to even think of taking any myself, and really wished I had asked Gary.

Our Little Tractor

Gary has been waiting for the day when he could take Isaiah out to play on the little tractor we recently bot for our hopefully someday farm on Eagle Ridge West. The rain stopped long enough for them to get to do that today.

Isaiah thot it was amazing to drive and run the loader up and down himself. He begged Grandpa to dig a hole in the lawn but instead they settled for picking up branches in the loader bucket.

A "Good Nite" Moment

We know our time with the boys is measured in just moments now as we face them moving to Australia for the next two years, so we are enjoying every priceless moment.

7:46 AM on 01.06.2010

Could not believe the incredible sunrise out my kitchen window this morning. I bolted to the office for my camera and then tried to find the best way to capture it thu the kitchen window.

In just seconds the brilliant color in the sky became very ordinary. How does that happen so quickly? Reminds me of the mere moment it takes for the sun to dip into the ocean at sunset. If you look away for even a moment you miss it.

What a glorious beginning to the day! God is very great indeed!

12:51 AM on 01.05.2010

It was a late nite...or should I say very early morning...for me, and as I prepped my grind & brew for the morning I was captivated by this amazing moon out my kitchen window. I grabbed my camera, but there definitely was no way to take a picture that did it any justice. You just had to be there.

Twenty Ten in Whistler!

On New Years Eve a section of the village is closed off for a concert party, and many of the hotels and resturaunts close to set up for their parties. Our tradition is to do an early dinner and then go back to the Westin till midnight.

At midnight we go back out in the Village for the countdown.

These wreaths at the Westin caught my eye.

Still snowing and very magical!

We grabbed our New Years Beaver Tails...

...and Happy Twenty Ten!
